Personal Training Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

 

Welcome to Lyft with Larry! By enrolling in my personal training services, you agree to adhere to the following terms and conditions. These terms are crafted to ensure a safe, effective, and enjoyable experience for all clients. By purchasing my services, you acknowledge and accept that the Terms and Conditions outlined below constitute a legally binding contract between you and Lyft with Larry.

2. Personal Training Services/Client/Trainer Agreement

My personal training services are tailored to meet your individual fitness goals. I provide personalised workout plans, guidance, and support to help you achieve your desired outcomes. 

  • I, the trainer, will use my skills and knowledge to design a safe programme of exercise that will take into account the personal goals, fitness levels and exercise likes and dislikes.

  • I, the trainer, will provide the coaching, supervision advice and support that the client may need to help them achieve their goals. The client’s progress will be regularly monitored and the programme revised and adjusted accordingly.

  • I, the trainer will provide all necessary equipment and will organise appropriate venues for all training sessions.

  • All client information will be kept strictly private and confidential. If I, the trainer, require further medical information from a practitioner, the client must provide such details.

  • It is understood between client and I, the trainer that both will commit to the programme and give 100% effort. 

  • The client is required to arrive 5 minutes prior to a training session so that a full session can be achieved on each visit.

  • The client is required to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Clothes should be loose fitting and non-restrictive. Footwear should be comfortable and provide adequate support.

  • Services are provided by certified, experienced and insured Personal Trainer.

3. Session Bookings

  • Sessions must be scheduled in advance through my booking system or directly with your personal trainer.

  • Each session is 60 minutes long and begins at the scheduled time. Please arrive on time, as sessions will not be extended to accommodate late arrivals.
     

4. Cancellation Policy

  • Notice Period: If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, you must provide at least 24 hours' notice prior to the scheduled start time.

  • Refunds: Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will not be eligible for a refund. The full session fee will be charged.

  • Rescheduling: If you provide more than 24 hours' notice, I will work with you to reschedule your session at a mutually convenient time, subject to availability.
     

5. Unacceptable Behaviour and Etiquette
 

  • Professional Conduct: We expect all clients to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner at all times. This includes, but is not limited to, respecting the trainer's instructions, using equipment safely, and maintaining appropriate hygiene.

  • Harassment and Discrimination: Any form of harassment, discrimination, or abusive behaviour towards the trainer, other clients, or gym staff will not be tolerated.

  • Dress Code: Clients are required to wear appropriate workout attire and footwear during sessions.
     

6. Right to Cancel
 

  • Trainer's Discretion: Lyft with Larry reserves the right to cancel or terminate your personal training sessions if your behaviour is deemed unacceptable or I believe you to be under the influence of any drugs or alcohol.

  • No Refund for Termination: If your sessions are terminated due to unacceptable behaviour, you will not be entitled to a refund for any unused sessions.
     

7. Health and Safety
 

  • Medical Clearance: It is your responsibility to inform your trainer of any medical conditions or injuries that may affect your ability to participate in the sessions.

  • PAR-Q Information: All clients must complete a PAR-Q before commencing any exercise programme.

  • Doctors Consent: Your trainer may require a letter of ‘medical clearance’ from your GP. Please be aware that your GP may charge you

  • Informed Consent: You agree to follow all safety instructions provided by your trainer and to exercise within your personal limits.
     

8. Liability
 

  • Lyft with Larry is not liable for any injuries or damages that occur as a result of your participation in the personal training sessions, except where such injury or damage is caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
     

9. Payment Terms
 

  • All payments must be made in advance of the sessions.

  • Packages or sessions purchased are non-transferable and non-refundable, except as specified in the cancellation policy.

  • Block bookings must be paid for in advance BUT sessions do not have to be booked in advance. However, all sessions must be redeemed within 90 days of purchase. 
     

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions
 

  • I reserve the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you in writing.
     

11. Governing Law
 

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
     

12. Agreeing to Terms and Conditions/Declaration
 

By engaging in my personal training services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.

I recognise and understand all the terms and conditions set between my personal trainer and myself and agree to follow all the guidelines set out above.
